A short, relaxed introduction allows us to connect, understand your plans, and explore whether we are the right fit for one another before moving into the design process.

This initial call is complimentary and lasts around 10 minutes, offering a gentle starting point with no pressure, just clarity and excitement for what’s to come. Following this, you are invited to continue in a way that feels most natural to you.

Each experience has been thoughtfully designed to offer the same level of care, creativity and attention to detail.

Tasting at Home... Designing Together

A curated tasting experience, delivered to your door.

You will receive five carefully selected collection of flavours to enjoy in your own time, allowing you to experience each one in a relaxed and personal setting. This is followed by a dedicated online design consultation, where we will refine your vision together, exploring design direction, flavour pairings, and how your cake will sit within the overall atmosphere of your celebration.

A considered and flexible experience, ideal for those planning from a distance or with a preference for quiet, at home moments.

This experience is offered at £75.00

In-Person Tasting & Design Experience

An intimate, in-person consultation held within an elegant setting at a local venue.

You will be welcomed into a calm and beautifully considered space, where we will explore your wedding cake in detail. From initial ideas through to the finer design elements, every aspect is thoughtfully discussed while you enjoy a curated selection of cakes and a glass of something celebratory.

This experience allows you to fully immerse yourself in the process, bringing together flavour, design and atmosphere in a way that feels both personal and memorable.

This experience is offered at £85.00.

Your Bespoke Proposal

Following your design consultation, you will receive a detailed, beautifully considered proposal.

This will bring together everything we have discussed, from design direction and styling details through to your chosen flavours, allowing you to see how your cake will take shape within your celebration.

A personalised quotation is included, ensuring complete clarity as you move forward.

Working together every step of the way to give you the ultimate curated experience.

Securing Your Date

Should you wish to proceed, your wedding date can be secured with a booking fee of £250.

Once your date is reserved, your proposal will be thoughtfully refined to include a bespoke design sketch, offering a visual expression of your cake and the finer details we have explored together.

Final Design Consultation

As your wedding approaches, a final design consultation will be arranged to gently refine the details of your cake.

This is an opportunity to revisit your design and flavour selections, ensuring everything feels perfectly aligned with your celebration as plans come together. Any final adjustments can be made with care, allowing you to move forward with complete confidence.

This consultation is held online for ease and convenience.

A calm and considered final step, ensuring every detail is exactly as it should be.

A Shared Intention

Whichever experience you choose, the intention remains the same.

To create a cake that feels entirely at home within your celebration. Thoughtfully designed, beautifully detailed, and crafted with a deep understanding of both flavour and form.

I take on a limited number of commissions each year, ensuring every couple receives the time, care and attention their celebration deserves.

Delivery and Installation

On the day of your wedding, your cake is delivered and styled with the utmost care and attention.

I will liaise with your venue and planner in advance, ensuring timings and placement are seamlessly coordinated. Every detail is considered, from the positioning of the cake within the space to any final styling touches, allowing it to feel naturally at home within your celebration.

Once in place, your cake will be presented exactly as intended, ready to be enjoyed as part of the atmosphere you have so thoughtfully created

Is there a minimum investment?

This is typically a tricky question that no one wants to ask but everyone needs to know the answer! An investment into one of my fine art cake design commissions for 2026 and 2027 starts at £1000.

Every single quotation that I prepare is based upon a bespoke calculation that reflects the detail, style and size of the cake that we have consulted on. As standard you will receive my skills, experience and dedicated service to ensure that your wedding cake is everything you have ever dreamed of.

How many couples do you work with a week?

The nature of the cakes I craft and the dedication given to each commission dictates that I wholly dedicate myself to one couple per week so that you get my undivided attention and all of the oven space!

Do you make everything yourself?

Every single cake, macaron, iced biscuit or sweet treat that is given the Lesley Walter Cake Design name will be hand crafted by myself.

You may find my wonderful husband helping out at wedding open days and supporting me during delivery and installation, but the baking and decorating is all me, so you can be confident there is no cheeky outsourcing or corners being cut with your cake.

How far in advance should we book?

As I only work with one couple per week, the diary can fill up fast and stretch well ahead.

As I work with a limited number of couples each year, popular dates can be reserved well in advance. Once you have confirmed your wedding date and venue, I recommend getting in touch to check availability and begin exploring your wedding cake ideas.

Are you an inclusive business?

Love is love. As long as you are in love with each other and the cake I am going to design for you, you will always be warmly welcomed here.

Every couple is treated with the same warmth, respect and care throughout their experience with me. I will always be proud to create for, and be part of, your love story.

Will you deliver the cake?

As part of my overall experience I am there on your wedding day to deliver and install your cake as per your instructions. I am very happy to work alongside your other wedding suppliers to ensure that you have a seamless experience and zero stress on the day.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

I can accommodate some dietary requirements you or your guests may have.

During your consultation, we can discuss any requirements that are relevant to your celebration. Where specific needs require separate preparation, we can explore the options available so that everyone can enjoy something thoughtfully considered.

Unfortunately, I cannot offer allergen-free cakes, as allergens are handled in my kitchen. It may be possible to adapt certain recipes and implement additional precautions to accommodate some dietary requirements. However, I cannot guarantee that any cake is completely free from traces of allergens.

How much do your wedding cakes cost?

Prices for my bespoke wedding cakes typically start from £1000, with the final cost depending on the size, complexity of the design, and flavour choices. I’ll provide a personalised quote after your consultation to ensure everything is tailored to your vision and budget.

Did you make all of the cakes in your portfolio and images?

I certainly did! One of my key values is integrity and honesty – I would never purport to have designed something that is not my work.

If you have a design in mind that you have seen somewhere else then I am happy to take inspiration from it, but I would not be able to reproduce it entirely as this would be against my values.

Can we have a cake tasting in advance?

Yes. Cake tasting is an integral part of the Lesley Walter Cake Design experience. You can choose a tasting at home with five cake flavours followed by an online design consultation for £75.00, or an in-person tasting and design experience with five flavours and a glass of something celebratory for £85.00.

Will we receive an illustration of our wedding cake design?

Yes. As part of the design process, I create a digital illustration of your wedding cake, allowing you to visualise how the different elements of your design come together before your wedding day.

Your design is developed from everything we discuss during your consultation, bringing together the details, styling and inspiration that are personal to your celebration.

Can you create wedding deseerts?

Absolutely. From beautifully presented individual desserts to statement centrepieces and interactive finishes, I can create something designed to complement your wedding cake and wider celebration. Book a consultation and let’s explore the possibilities together.
